8.10 Expenses of Convention
8.10.01 The Union shall pay the normal and usual expenses incident to the meetings of the Convention together with the expenses of the National Executive Board and of those other members or agents whose attendance at the Convention may be required by the National Executive Board. The Locals shall pay those expenses of their respective delegates that are not paid for by the Union.
8.10.02 There shall be a registration fee for Convention delegates, the amount to be established by the National Executive Board.
8.10.03
One (1) delegate from each Local Union shall be reimbursed for the following
expenses to attend the Convention:
8.10.03.01 Transportation for air travel up to the amount of economy airfare upon submission of the appropriate forms accompanied by the travel vouchers, as well as receipted ground transportation to and from the airport. Or, alternatively, a travel allowance equal to the distance between the convention city and the city where the Local Union is located at the rate of twenty-six (26) cents per kilometre for the actual distance (return) but in an amount not to exceed the air economy return fare. The distance between the location of the Local Union and the convention city shall be determined by the use of figures computed by a reputable map company such as Rand-McNally, CAA, or by some other authentic published distance guide or method which is approved by the National Executive Board.8.10.03.02 Per diem in accordance with the expense policy of the Union for the duration of the convention, plus a maximum of one extra day to accommodate the use of airline seat sales.
